Robert McCabe enlisted into the US Army on 5 Feb 1943 and served in the rank of Sergeant. Died Non Battle per WWII Honor List of Dead and Missing State of RI War Dept June 1946. Perished when US Army Air Corps B-24E Liberator crashed one mile north of Melbourne Naval Air Station, Florida while attempting an emergency landing. He is buried in Saint Augustine National Cemetery, St. Johns County, Florida, Section B Site 647.
