A retired firefighter of over 30 years, Larry served as Captain with the Portsmouth Fire Department.  Larry dedicated his life to the safety and protection of his community. His commitment to service extended beyond his duty as a firefighter; he proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Larry’s unwavering commitment to protecting others was evident in all he did; he was a proud member of the Protectors of the Children, a charitable motorcycle organization dedicated to safeguarding children in need across eighteen countries. Additionally, he advocated for the rights of POW/MIA service members and veterans as a member of the Rolling Thunder Organization.
