According to the 1920 Census, James Henry Haggerty and his wife Gladys A. Haggerty resided in Portsmouth before moving to Newport, RI where he was a fireman in the Street Railway Industry and in 1917, he worked as an Electrician and also farmed in Portsmouth, RI. Both served during World War I. He passed away in 1965 and is buried in St. Mary’s Episcopal Churchyard.
